WhiteStone Masonic and Eastern Star Home
For nearly 100 years, WhiteStone has offered its residents a comfortable retirement lifestyle in Greensboro with exceptional peace of mind. Our name, WhiteStone, is a nod to the rich heritage of the facility with Mr. White as our first administrator and Mr. and Mrs. Stone as the first couple to move into our community in 1912. Originally, WhiteStone was established for Masonic and Eastern Star members, but today this exceptional senior living community is open to everyone. (http://www.liveatwhitestone.org/)
The Masonic Home for Children at Oxford
Founded in the 1870’s, The Masonic Home for Children at Oxford is the oldest Masonic-run home for children in the United States. The home assists families in need by providing a safe, home-like setting for children until they are reunited with family or achieve independence. Children in our residential care program live in a family setting and receive quality care in a caring and stable environment. Their Independent Living Program serves young adults ages 18 to 21, as they leave foster care or achieve independence. The Home survives and our children are cared for through the charity of others. The Masonic Home for Children continues to grow, adapt, and change to meet the needs of children today and preparing them for a better tomorrow. (http://www.mhc-oxford.org/)
